Bea Gaddy Center's "Thanks for Giving" Food Drive, November, 2008.

"A special 'thanks' to you, the management and associates of Hampden Moving and Storage, for your generous and enthusiastic support of FOX 45's Bea Gaddy Family Center 'Thanks for Giving' food drive on Friday, November 21, 2008. Hampden Moving & Storage's support of the Bea Gaddy Family Center throughout the year, as well as this special donation, will help hundreds of families in need this Thanksgiving. Even with the slow economy causing people to make difficult decisions about their incomes and needs, the Baltimore community responded by opening their hearts and wallets. FOX 45 viewers donated 2,740 pounds of food and $12,735 in financial support to the Bea Gaddy Family Center. It's the simple act of giving that each of us can do and can do together that provides comfort and reassurance to those with so little. From all of us at FOX 45, 'Thanks for Giving'. All monies and checks have been forwarded to Connie Bass, Director of the Bea Gaddy Family Center, 425 North Chester Street, Baltimore, MD, 21231 Thank you...and our best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season."

On the Move--Mayflower Transit Agent Newsletter, April 2008

"Hampden Moving & Storage Co., Abingdon, Md.--Just one word to describe our experience: phenomenal. Debbie Kilby clearly explained what was required to prepare for the move, was extremely pleasant, and we enjoyed our meeting. Jackie was phenomenal and extremely compassionate throughout the process. The moving crew-- Moe, Leon, and Melvin,--were tremendous, extremely pleasant and very professional. On the day of--on the move from our previous house, Bill McMahon from Quality Control arrived to see how things were going. He was extremely pleasant and made sure we were happy with the moving process. Hampden Partners with Habitat for Humanity

On Tuesday, March 20, 2007, Hampden volunteered its signature “Red Carpet” service to help move the Habitat for Humanity warehouse from Baltimore to their new home in Edgewood, Harford County, Maryland. The contents of the warehouse included items donated to the Chesapeake chapter of Habitat. These items will be sold out the new Edgewood warehouse and the proceeds will be used to initiate a “ReStore” facility for the Chesapeake and Harford Habitat chapters. The ReStore facility will provide an ongoing source of income for these two chapters of Habitat for Humanity. The proceeds of the sales at the ReStore will then be used to further support home building projects for Habitat for Humanity. Hampden teamed up with Habitat over a year ago and has been pleased to donate trucks, equipment and strong workers to help bring families in need one-step closer to their dreams of moving into their own homes.
